What is Hunter Breeding? 🏅

Hunter breeding shows are a unique and prestigious part of the sport horse world, designed to evaluate the conformation, movement, and overall presence of young horses destined for success in the hunter ring. Horses and ponies are shown in hand and judged on their potential to become top performance hunters.

It’s where form meets future, and where breeders, owners, and handlers come together to showcase the next generation of champions. From foals to three-year-olds, these shows celebrate thoughtful breeding, correct development, and the promise of what’s to come.

The Caledon Hunter Breeding Classic is proud to share that the Best Young Horse and Best Young Pony winners will each receive a generous prize of $500 thanks to our incredible sponsors!
