π A BIG THANK YOU, BLIND RIVER! π
As we officially wrap up the 2026 Community Days 2nd Hometown Hoedown, we want to thank our 80+ sponsors, all ~4,000 attendees, our volunteers, participants and supporters, and everyone who took the time to complete our Community Days Feedback Form.
A very special thank you goes to Janice, Marcel and Roseanna, as well as every volunteer who helped make the weekend possible. We are also incredibly grateful to the Town of Blind River for its continued support.
We received 94 unique responses, and the results were incredibly encouraging:
β 91% of attendees rated their overall experience as Excellent or Good
πΆ The concert and b**r gardens were the most popular attractions
π The parade, food market, midway, fireworks and Sunday childrenβs activities were also community favourites
πΈ More than half of respondents said they would like to see a Rock Night in the future!
We also heard your suggestions. More musical variety, a fresh theme, additional shade and seating, affordability, more vendors, and improvements to the parade and event information were among the most common ideas. Your feedback is being taken seriously and will help guide our planning.
Community Days is organized by a small, entirely volunteer-run committee. Sommer, Nathalie, Robyn, Vola and Char deeply thank you for your patience, support and the overwhelming amount of love we received throughout the weekend.
Behind the scenes, work is already underway. Grant applications are in development, ideas are being reviewed and planning for 2027 Community Days has officially begun!
Thank you for believing in Community Days and helping us continue to grow this celebration while preserving the small-town spirit that makes it so special.
We canβt wait to see what 2027 brings! ππ
