Summer in Diamond Valley is almost here ☀️

Looking for a way to feel like you’re on vacation, even if you still need to commute, check emails, or head into the city for work?

Work. Stay. Play.

The Foothills Lions Club campgrounds are a great summer home base for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. Enjoy family-friendly camping close to the spray park, outdoor pool, trails, parks, disc golf, local shops, and more.

The spray park and outdoor pool are expected to open in June, just in time for warmer weather and camping season.

The spray park, located right beside the Turner Valley Campground, is one of the many community projects the Foothills Lions Club is proud to have supported with funds raised from our campgrounds.

Diamond Valley, close enough to commute. Far enough to feel away.

Book your stay TODAY: www.foothillslionsclub.ca/campground

Did you know Diamond Valley is home to one of the top disc golf courses in Canada? 🥏

The Diamond Valley Disc Golf Course, supported in part by the Foothills Lions Club during its development, has quickly become a destination for players from across Alberta and beyond.

Now recognized among the Top 100 Disc Golf Courses in Canada, the course continues to bring visitors to our community and showcase everything Diamond Valley has to offer.

That impact is easy to see with the Sheep River Rumble tournament on August 15, 2026 already SOLD OUT — with a growing waitlist of players hoping to participate.

While registration is full, the excitement around the event highlights how successful this community-supported project has become and the positive attention it continues to bring to Diamond Valley.

Tournament information can still be viewed here:
https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/SHEEP_RIVER_RUMBLE_2026

Visitors coming to explore the course can also stay at one of our nearby campgrounds:
http://www.foothillslionsclub.ca/campground

The course is within walking distance from both the Turner Valley Campground and the Lions Centennial Campground, making either location a great basecamp for a weekend of disc golf and exploring Diamond Valley.

It’s exciting to see community projects continue to grow, attract visitors, and succeed years after they begin.

Funding request season has wrapped up until September, and once again we’ve had the opportunity to support some incredible local groups and organizations throughout our community.

One recent example is the Oilfields Dryland Sailors, where the Foothills Lions Club helped sponsor hoodies and t-shirts for their 2026 trip.

Supporting youth, local programs, community groups, and volunteer initiatives is what Lions is all about.

Funding opportunities will open back up September 1, 2026 through the application form available on our website at that time.

Every fundraiser, campground booking, Duck Derby ticket, and community event helps make these contributions possible.

If you’d like to help support the Club in the meantime, here are a few easy ways to make a difference:
✅ Share information about our campground
✅ Purchase a Duck Derby ticket
✅ Attend one of our community events
✅ Follow and share our posts online
✅ Learn more about volunteering or becoming a member
