Dear friends, family and followers,
After quite a long period of thinking, re-thinking, CT-scans, MRI-scans, physiologist sessions, I decided to stop definitively with karting and with driving the track-days with the lovely 911 GT3 Cup car…
The “damage” on my neck, after a motorcycle accident in 2009, left me with no other choice than to make this (sad) decision…
The years of the trackdays were great, we enjoyed every moment it. As well with the Radical car as with the 911 GT3 cars.
In general it was a lovely adventure, I met lots of nice and interesting people, every one of them dedicated to motorsport/car racing…
I learned a lot about driving a race car, the technics behind it, the physical efforts needed to drive good laps at the lovely Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
I like to thank the lovely crew of good friends who helped me on every trackday, all the people who supported us, visited us on the race track, or helped us with information, spare parts, tyres etc…
Of course also the followers here on Facebook.
Special thanks to Marc and Jurgen of NGT-Racing who did the necessary maintenance to keep the beast going.
Of course I will continue following the car races and motorsports, so who knows we will meet again someday in Zolder, Spa-Francorchamps or at Le Mans.

Beste vrienden, familie en volgers, vandaag heb ik besloten dat het verstandig is om met het karten, en ook met het rijden van de track-days met de fantastische 911 GT3 Cup, te stoppen en de helm definitief aan de haak te hangen. 🙁
Na de nodige CT-scans, MRI-scans, kiné behandelingen etc, is het duidelijk dat de nek niet meer mee wil.
Door een motorongeval in 2009, is de nek steeds de zwakke schakel gebleven.
We hebben de voorbije jaren enorm genoten van het karten, het rijden met de 911 GT3 Cup, en tal van andere racewagens, maar het moment om te stoppen lijkt nu definitief.
Ik heb veel interessante, gepassioneerde mensen leren kennen, veel bijgeleerd en ons vooral goed geamuseerd op het circuit.
Een speciale dank de vrienden die me elke trackday hebben geholpen en zonder wie ik deze hobby nooit zou kunnen doen. Daarnaast ook alle volgers op Facebook, iedereen die ons is komen “bezoeken” in de pits in Spa-Francorchamps.
Een speciale bedanking ook voor de mensen van NGT-Racing voor het nodige onderhoud to keep the beast going.
Ik blijf de autosport volgen, en wie weet treffen we elkaar wel op Zolder, Francorchamps of in Le Mans…
