This Thursday, Footloose returns in Ghent with the sound it is known for.

Behind it is Expensive KVR, a Ghent based vinyl DJ active since 2008 , continues to push a sound rooted in deep, liquid and tech leaning drum & bass

Alongside the project, he has appeared at Rehab, Nachtshift and From Rijsel With Love (France), with Liquicity Antwerp and Headspace presents Planet V coming up in the next months.

Artist Spotlight: Frontline

Belgian DJ and producer Frontline has been steadily rising through the ranks of the drum & bass scene, earning his spot with deep selections and precision mixing.
Starting out in 2012 spinning dubstep, his journey into DnB began after discovering Skeptical’s sound, a turning point that led him to develop his own soulful yet heavy approach.
With standout gigs at Overview Brighton, Star Warz, From Rijsel With Love, Headspace, and Campo Solar, Frontline has proven his ability to move any crowd with flow and intention. Now part of the Footloose crew, he continues to push his sound forward.
His debut Façade EP on Abyssal Music (October 2024) showcases the full range of his style, from deep rollers to emotive cuts, solidifying his place as one of Belgium’s most exciting new DnB talents.

Artist Spotlight: HEADSPACE

Under the name Headspace, Hiraeth & Istoria step up with a sound rooted in the deeper, more soulful side of drum & bass.

Expect rolling momentum, warm atmospheres and clean, understated energy. The kind of set that balances depth and movement while keeping things properly underground. Less about obvious impact, more about mood, flow and full-room immersion.

Their latest release, “Spiritual” on FIVE ALLEY, is a perfect reflection of that approach: chilled, melodic and touched with summer vibes.

Artist spotlight: SOPHICS 🚨

SOPHICS is a Bruges based drum and bass duo featuring Daan Dejaeghere and Pon Janwit Changsura.

Part of the local DnB movement and linked to Senses, a Bruges based DnB concept and radio show on Villa Bota, Sophics bring authentic bass culture straight from the city.

Bruges has the sound.
SOPHICS has the vibe.

From East Belgium to the decks, Micronox and Black District are pushing the Out of Control D&B Crew sound with pure energy, heavy basslines and zero compromise. ⚡️

Micronox laid the foundations, building the movement and helping grow the local drum & bass scene. Black District brought his own fresh edge to the crew, adding even more weight to the Out of Control identity.

Artist spotlight: Sanctuary

A familiar face at Footloose and a valued part of the Make It Rumble crew, SANCTUARY is back. He previously appeared at our 26 November 2022 edition at Amigo Amigo, Ghent, where Make It Rumble was represented by Frontline, Anomaly, Sanctuary and MC Tasty.

Blending liquid funk with deep rollers, Sanctuary brings a sound that combines warmth, detail and weight in all the right places. His connection with Frontline also reached the studio on “Misty Banks,” a collab released on Abyssal Music that highlights the chemistry between both artists.

Expect sharp selections, proper drum & bass and a set built with real feeling from start to finish.
