Call for application ✨
Twenty years ago, Brussels Design September started as a platform to bring together designers, makers, merchants and institutions around a shared belief: that design shapes the city we live in.

In 2026, we mark this anniversary with a new name, Brussels Design Week, and a new ambition: to become more visible, more connected, and more open to the international design community. The festival runs from September 24 to October 4, 2026.

A central Hub This year, Brussels Design Week has a dedicated central space where the community converges: a place to meet, exchange, and get a sense of everything happening across the city.

Open Doors Designers are invited to open their studios to the public for a weekend, offering a direct look into their creative and making processes.

Exhibitions & Best of Vintage Exhibitions in galleries, unexpected venues and cultural institutions across the city, alongside a dedicated route through Brussels' finest vintage and second-hand design addresses.

Commerce Design Awards - 14th edition The open call is now live. Merchants, designers, architects and interior architects who completed a commercial space project between 2023 and 2026 are invited to apply. Submissions close May 31, 2026.

A NEW CHAPTER!
In 2026, the event enters its 20th edition under a new name: Brussels Design Week ✨

An evolution that clarifies the identity of the event, particularly on the international stage, while continuing what has made it strong for two decades. A meeting platform for designers, craftspeople, cultural institutions, businesses, schools and the public, Brussels Design Week offers concrete visibility to those who shape the Brussels creative scene — whether established or emerging.

Do you create, exhibit, teach or advocate for design in Brussels?
This anniversary edition, taking place from September 24 to October 4, 2026, is the opportunity to be part of a gathering that matters.

proves sustainable materials don’t have to look minimal or raw. Using agar, alginate and gelatin, they create iridescent, holographic surfaces that shimmer and captivate.

With XR designer Paulina Martina, they push it further translating these bioplastics into augmented reality experiences you can touch and project into your own space.

A project that shows the future of materials can be both responsible and utterly desirable 💫

.le.tutour is an artist based in Brussels, originally from Antwerp 🎨

"Through sleek surfaces, blank spaces, and a passion for color, Isabelle creates paintings and ceramics. Her works are a combination of free illustrations and images, the result of her fascination with observing buildings, objects, and spaces around her. Her inspiration flows from simplest of things, from a wine bottle to an intriguing street corner, or a color palette she encounters in a random place.

In her work, she strives for compositions and different color combinations to create a specific atmosphere.
Over the past year, she has based much of her work on photos taken during her travels. The beautiful, flat facades in bright colors are often combined with the inspiring charm of hanging electrical wires throughout the city.

Her paintings are constructed like collages, but with acrylic on canvas. When she leaves an area open, the color from the layer underneath becomes visible, creating an interesting interplay of different layers." ✨
