Bay of Bengal The Bay of Bengal links the six countries of Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. The largest bay in the world is the Bay of Bengal.

The bay and its surroundings serve as essential connectors that significantly improve the expansion of the blue economy in this region by supporting the shipping, oil and gas, tourism, and seafood sectors, among others. The Bay of Bengal borders Bangladesh's southern region with a coastline stretching about 710 km. the longest sea beach, and a road spanning 80 kilometers from Cox's Bazar to Teknaf along the Bay of Bengal. This road is part of the world's longest marine drive.
