Today on this occasion, sharing one interesting talk.
Renowned Physicist Leonard Susskind is talking about his friendship with Mr. Feynman.
This conversation is not about physics or science. These stories are about bond they shared. About the friendship of legends. Nevertheless, these memories will surely highlight the role of physics in their life.

Thank you professor Susskind for allowing us to take a trip down the memory lane. This is a beautiful experience. And let me assure you, you really need not to be a science student to enjoy this feast. : )

Happy Birthday to Sir George Paget Thomson.🥳

George Paget Thomson was a famous English physicist who was awarded the ‘Nobel Prize in Physics’. He is accredited with the discovery of wave properties, and diffraction of electrons by crystals.☀️
He gave the address "Two aspects of science" as president of the British Association for 1959–1960.⚡

George Thomson was able to demonstrate that electrons could be diffracted like a wave — scientists, like J. J. Thomson, had previously thought the electron was only a particle. This wave-particle duality is a concept that says that every elementary particle exhibits properties of not only particles, but also waves.

One development that came from this concept was the electron microscope. These microscopes can be used to see very small objects that could otherwise not be fully seen with visible light. Here at the IAEA, scientists use this technology to study and characterize nuclear material to find ways to effectively manage it to help keep the world safe and secure.
