OMNI Cinema Lab: AI Director's Cut is an evening dedicated to exploring how filmmakers are engaging with AI in practice. Through screenings and conversation, we'll hear directly from the people experimenting with these tools and shaping new creative workflows.

Joining the panel is Yan Chen, Founder and CEO of AurorAI. Working across AI video production, immersive media, and digital storytelling, Yan has built a career at the forefront of emerging technology and screen production.

His experience spans collaborations and leadership roles across organisations including Disney, DreamWorks, Starz, and KMM, giving him a unique perspective on how technological innovation moves from experimentation into professional production.

As AI continues to reshape visual effects and filmmaking, Yan brings both practical insight and real-world experience to the conversation.

His work includes co-authoring the 2017 paper with Kristen Stewart applying neural style transfer to Come Swim, helping shape one of the earliest intersections between AI and cinema.

Known for making complex ideas accessible to wide audiences, he joins OMNI Cinema Lab: AI Director’s Cut as moderator for an evening exploring how filmmakers are navigating AI in real time.
