The Sydney Royal Easter Show is Australia’s largest annual event, attracting close to 900,000 people each year. It is a celebration of Australian culture, from our rural traditions to our modern day lifestyles, providing unique experiences for everyone. Each year the country and city join together to enjoy agricultural competitions, animal experiences, entertainment, carnival fun, shopping and muc

h more. The Show was first held in 1823 and is run by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes and rewards agricultural excellence. The Sydney Royal Easter Show allows the RAS to continue investing in agricultural programs and supporting rural communities in Australia.

Congratulations to Rob Smith, who has been awarded the John Ross Award at this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Since 1988, Rob has been a dedicated and valued part of the Show community. For decades, he has consistently delivered exceptional service across a variety of food outlets, including Wendy’s, Ian’s Ice Creams, Wallys Hotdogs and Pollyanna Pancakes.

“Rob exemplifies the ethos of the RAS and the Sydney Royal, demonstrated through 38 years of dedication to a family-run business supported by generations of loyal staff and patrons. Overall, he is a genuinely outstanding individual.”

The John Ross Award is presented to a long-standing individual who truly embodies the spirit and character of the Show.

It’s Kids’ Day – the final day of the 2026 Sydney Royal Easter Show! 🎡✨

🎢 Enjoy 2-for-1 rides in the Gong Cha Carnival and Sushi Hub Kids Carnival until 4pm – ride together and only one of you needs carnival credits. Offer excludes the KIIS Haunted House and the Slingshot.
💙 For one day only, head to the Amphitheatre at 11:00am, 12:00pm and 2:30pm for the Bluey Live Interactive Experience
