Sadly we've had to cancel the Kings Birthday Weekend market on Sunday June 7.

Too many regular stallholders had to pull out for a variety of reasons, and being only 3 weeks after the Country Fair, there just isn't enough time to regroup.

Please do join us on the middle Sunday of the next school holidays for the July 12 St Albans Village Market when all of our regulars will be back, plus a few surprises - which will be all about St Albans Common.

Huge thanks to all the locals, market visitors and stallholders who came together to celebrate the reemergence of the St Albans Country Fair that started with a great selection of stalls, an instagrammable array of old and new tractors, the chaos of chicken races, old fashioned games, and all the gold coin donations per adult entry going to the River Keeper Network, with a fabulous basket going to a very grateful Valley visitor at Market close - with the excitement continuing all afternoon and into the evening at the Settlers Arms Inn.

Racing at 10.30am & 11.30am

All chickens will do 4 laps of a circuit chasing a remote control car with a seed tray on the back.

• BYO Chicken
• NO BREAKFAST IF YOU WANT THEM TO WIN!!!
• No Roosters please
• A coloured bib can be provided, or you can use non toxic hair colour or some other way of ‘dressing’ your precious girl to stand out from the crowd.

Prize – 2x a $50 Market voucher to be used that day.

No chickens will be harmed in this event – they will just be fed 😊

Sherri McMahon is the winner of the Stallholder Sample Basket from today’s market and was there to take it home.
