Got kids aged 7-15 who are keen to give mountain biking a go but not quite ready to race? Head to the Smithfield Mountain Bike Park tomorrow at 3pm for the Kids XCO – Participatory Event. This event is part of the weekend Rainforest Rumble fun and a great way to start out your weekend.

For just $10, riders get:
✅ Race Plate
🏅 Finisher Medal
🙌 A fun, supportive first event experience

The course is safe, rollable, and accessible for all skill levels, making it ideal for beginners or those wanting to step up their riding.

📢 The Cairns Rainforest Rumble event week is here!

Riders are taking to the trails in three different disciplines across FOUR days of practice & racing! 🙌

🚨 We are still short for the below roles to ensure the riders and spectators stay safe on track! 🚨

We require 2-3 people for each of the below at a minimum:

🌴THURSDAY
XCO Marshal - Afternoon 12-4pm

🌴FRIDAY
XCO Marshal - ALL DAY
DH Marshal - ALL DAY

🌴SATURDAY
XCO Marshal - ALL DAY
DH Marshal - Morning 7:45 - 12

🌴SUNDAY
Driver - 1 required 7:30am - 4:30pm
XCO Marshal - ALL DAY
DH Marshal - ALL DAY

⏰️ Half day shifts are available within the roster site, so pick what suits your schedule and come support another great event!

🌴 VOLUNTEERS WANTED – Cairns Rainforest rumble 🌴

Be part of the action behind the scenes at one of Cairns’ most exciting events! 💥 We’re calling on enthusiastic, reliable volunteers to help bring the Cairns Rainforest Rumble to life.

🙌 Roles include:
• Event setup & pack down
• XCO, DH, & SUPER D Course marshalls
• Uplift Drivers
• General event helpers

🕒 When: April 15th - 19th 2026
📍 Where: Smithfield Mtb Park

• A front-row experience of the event
