Sunday Table returns to The Upperhouse with a menu inspired by the family recipes and flavours Hevi grew up with in West Kalimantan.
Our take on The Cook and the Chef, in The Upperhouse kitchen.
For this Sunday Table, Hevi joins Executive Chef Wayne Alger to share the dishes taught to her by her mother through years spent side by side in the kitchen. Food tied to home, family and tradition.
Wayne tried Hevi’s rendang and from that moment this lunch was born. Put simply, he says it’s the best rendang he’s ever had.
Together, Hevi and Wayne will cook the menu side by side before it’s served as a shared-style lunch in The Manhattan Room.
