Thank you so much for your support, Community Bank Port Fairy & District! Your generous funding this year helped build up our 2025 Children's Program - we brought no less than five children's authors into our community library for a day of fun and connection over their wonderful books! And we had over 70 people register for the children's program events!

AAAND Sunday! Scroll through these tiles of incredible events and you’ll see that we’re not resting on Sunday!

We’re honoured to have Helen Garner agree to doing two events with us over the weekend (the Saturday one is now booked out for single-session bookings - but a weekend pass will still get you in).

The very last event, Iconic, will also include a very short (10-minute) play by Warrnambool author Matt Neal, titled Happily Ever After, presented by the Port Fairy Theatre Group. And to finish, drinks by Keayang Maar Vineyard, and nibbles, will be supplied!

See you in Port Fairy next weekend!

Such a big Saturday of the festival! You can buy tickets to individual sessions - but be warned, some might already be booked out. A way around this is to grab a weekend pass which will get you into ALL weekend sessions except the festival dinner.

Rob is also part of the Port Fairy Literary Weekend with the children’s program being held at the library - an indoor street party! - as well as moderating the crime writing panel on the Saturday!

Huge congratulations to Rob and illustrator Kelly Canby for such a DELIGHTFUL book!!!! 💜🌟🌈

In The Season, Helen Garner brings her trademark attentiveness and honesty to a surprising subject: her teenage grandson’s football season. What begins as a grandmother’s quiet attendance on the sidelines becomes a profound meditation on masculinity, discipline, family, and the passing of time. In conversation with writer and former criminal lawyer Jock Serong, Garner reflects on sport as theatre, youth as transition, and what it means to observe - without interference - as someone you love learns how to live.
