WELL, THIS IS EXCITING.

Joondalup Festival 2026 has been named a National Nominee in the Australian Event Awards for Best Cultural, Arts or Music Event. 🎉

That means our wonderfully weird, wildly creative, lake-loving, harbour-glowing, dance-floor-filling festival is officially among the top five events in the country in this category.

From Crystal People rising from the lake at dawn, to The Whale floating above Tom Simpson Park on closing night, this year's festival was filled with unforgettable moments. But more than anything, it was shaped by the artists, partners, suppliers, participants, crew and community who brought it to life.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved. This nomination is a reflection of the creativity, passion and hard work that goes into making Joondalup Festival what it is.

And to the thousands of people who joined us over 16 incredible days – thank you for showing up, leaning in and making the festival your own. 💙

Joondalup Festival is a full night out waiting to happen!

We’ve rounded up the best dinner spots near this weekend’s festival venues, so all that’s left to do is pick your show and make a night of it.

DINNER & SHOW: NAME A BETTER DUO – WE’LL WAIT! One of the best things about Joondalup Festival is that it doesn’t live in just one place. From harbours to parks, galleries and bowling alleys, the festival pops up across the northern suburbs – turning familiar spots into stages, galleries and...
