Good Morning,
On behalf of our committee, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every single person who took part in this yearβs Perth Pacific Cup ππ.
To our players β you represented our mob with pride, passion, and integrity βπ½π₯. You played with heart, carried yourselves with respect, and showed the power of sport to bring people together. Weβve received outstanding feedback from other Nations about the way our teams conducted themselves β not just on the court, but in the way they supported each other, respected the umpires, and upheld the values we stand for. Thatβs something we can all be proud of π―ππ½.
A massive thank you also goes out to our parents, volunteers, and committee members β your support, time, and dedication make everything we do possible ππ½π. From behind the scenes to courtside, your commitment doesnβt go unnoticed.
A huge shoutout to our Open Mixed Team β ALIWAH β for taking out the tournament and defeating New Zealand in a cracking final! ππ¦πΊπ³πΏ What an incredible game to watch and a proud moment for all of us. Your teamwork, skill and determination were inspiring β deadly stuff! πͺπ½π₯
While we celebrate all the positives, we also need to address an incident that occurred during the event.
We want to be clear: we do not condone violence or aggressive behaviour of any kind π«ππ½. These events are more than just sport β they are about culture, connection, and creating a safe space for our young ones to thrive π€πβ€οΈ. Our kids are watching us, learning from us, and they deserve to be surrounded by positive role models who carry themselves with respect and dignity π±β¨.
If, for any reason, you feel youβre not able to represent those values β we ask that you please reconsider your involvement. This space is for uplift, not conflict. Everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and respected π€π½π«Άπ½.
Just a respectful reminder β our coaches, managers, and committee members are all volunteers ππ½. They give up their time to ensure our teams have opportunities to grow, connect, and compete. We know things arenβt always perfect, but we are doing our best. What we ask for in return is understanding, respect, and patience π€π¬.
Lastly, we want to say a massive thank you to our ongoing sponsor β Roe Legal βοΈπΌ. Your continuous support over the years has been more than we could ever ask for. Itβs not just about the financial support β it's about believing in our mission, our youth, and the importance of Indigenous representation in sport and community. Thank you for walking alongside us ππ½π€πβ€οΈ.
Letβs continue to lead with pride, lift each other up, and show what it means to move as one mob β strong and respectful β on and off the court we canβt wait for next year. βπ½πn
