This whole festival has a name behind it β€” and it's been the same name for years. The Oxley Community Festival 2026 is brought to you, top to bottom, by Bellbowrie Mechanical at Seventeen Mile Rocksl β€” our naming rights sponsor, and the single biggest reason this day exists at all.

We don't say that lightly. Plenty of businesses chip in for one year and move on. Bellbowrie has backed this festival again and again, season after season β€” not for a quick logo on a banner, but because they actually believe in the place they operate in. When a local business puts its name on something, it's putting its reputation on the line for it. Bellbowrie has done that for our community, year after year, and it's a big part of why your kids get a free afternoon of rides, music, animals and games without you reaching for your wallet once
And here's the thing β€” they're not just generous, they're good. Bellbowrie Mechanical at Seventeen Mile Rocksis the most highly reviewed and rated private workshop in the western suburbs. That's not us being nice; that's what their customers say, in black and white, over and over. They're also the kind of business that quietly backs local schools, local sport, and local initiatives β€” supporting the community that supports them. Which is exactly the spirit this festival runs on.

One genuinely useful thing if you drive: Bellbowrie are new-vehicle logbook service specialists. You don't have to go to the dealer to keep a near-new car's warranty intact β€” under Australian Consumer Law your warranty and protections stay in place no matter who services your car, as long as it's done to manufacturer specs by qualified mechanics. Which is exactly what they do. Unless you love your dealer's service and their prices, there's a better option right in your own backyard.

So when you're booking your next service, think of the business that's been backing your community all these years. That's how a community looks after its own. Bellbowrie Mechanical β€” proud naming rights sponsor of the Oxley Community Festival.

πŸŽ‰ Saturday 13 June, 1pm-7pm, Club Oxley. Free β€” because of them.

The dance floor heats up. The under-10s take over. And not a single adult will outlast them. The Oxley Community Kids' Disco is back β€” lights, music, and a hundred-odd little legs going flat-out until they physically cannot anymore. Wear something you can move in. There are no judges except the kids, and they have terrible taste, so you'll fit right in.

Here's who we've got to thank for it: the disco is sponsored by Growlife Medical, Sherwood & Oxley β€” the local family GP practice right here in 4075. And these aren't just any doctors. Grow Medical was named the 2024 Australian General Practice of the Year by the RACGP β€” that's the national award, the whole country, and it's our local practice that took it home.

They look after local families through every stage β€” bubs, kids, parents, grandparents β€” so it's pretty fitting they're the ones lighting up the dance floor for the littlest members of the community. If you're after a family GP who actually knows your name, they've got clinics in our local neighbourhood on Sherwood Road and Seventeen Mile Rocks Road. Worth knowing about. They also run the urgent care at Canossa.

Kids' disco lights up in the late arvo and runs through to the fireworks β€” Saturday 13 June from 3:30pm, Club Oxley.

Free. Rides. We'll say it again so it sinks in: FREE rides. INCLUDING THE AMAZING SUPER SIZZLER PICTURED πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

No tickets. No wristbands. No "$9 for one go on the slide." Your kids climb on, scream their heads off, climb off, and run straight back to the queue. As many times as their little legs can manage.
And this year there's a new one.

πŸš€ Introducing the SUPER SIZZLER β€” for the older kids (and the big kids who refuse to admit they're adults). Faster, spinnier, and a fair bit wilder than the little-tacker rides. If your tween has been declaring everything "too babyish" for the last two years β€” this is the one that'll wipe the too-cool look off their face. We'll let you know which side of the festival it lands on closer to the day (note this ride is LARGE so if it has poured rain the week before we may not be able to get it on site).

The whole rides precinct is free thanks to
Westside HQ in Corinda β€” the local club on Clewley Street, right by Corinda station. Gaming, dining, live entertainment, function spaces, and a genuine soft spot for this community (and our veterans). They put their hand up so every kid in 4075 gets on every ride for nothing. Next time you're after a feed, a drink or a night out close to home, that's your spot β€” and tell them the festival sent you.

Free rides β€” including the brand-new Super Sizzler β€” all afternoon from 1pm, Saturday 13 June, Club Oxley.

πŸ‘‰ Tag the parent whose kids would LOSE it over a ride called the Super Sizzler.

A whole farmyard of friendly animals you can actually pat, feed and cuddle β€” and a horde of happy kids who'll never want to leave.
πŸπŸ‘πŸ°

The petting zoo is back, and this year it's Old Macdonald's Travelling Farms bringing the full walk-in menagerie to ClubOxley. Soft, friendly, hands-on animals the little ones can meet up close, with trained handlers on hand to supervise and teach the kids (and the grown-ups) more random animal facts than you knew existed.

It's safe, it's supervised, there's hand gel at the gate and proper fencing all round. You just bring the kids and let them discover nature in the best possible way. Tip: dress them in clothes that can handle a bit of farmyard.

Here's the bit that makes it free: the petting zoo is brought to you by Oxley Carwash β€” the 24-hour car wash on the corner of Blunder Road and Alban Street, right here in 4075. Automatic and self-serve bays, vacuums, open whenever you need it. After a day parked around the festival, your car's going to need it β€” so swing by and say thanks to the local who made the kids' favourite corner of the whole festival happen. Details in the comments.

Petting zoo open all afternoon, from 1pm Saturday 13 June, Club Oxley.

The lights go down. The bowling green goes quiet. And then the sky over Oxley properly goes off.

The Oxley Community Festival 2026 is finishing the way it always does β€” with a full fireworks display, launched right over Club Oxley and viewed from the best seats in 4075: the bowling green, your picnic blanket, the kids already half-asleep on your lap.

Bring a jumper. Bring a blanket. Find a spot on the green by 630pm. Look up. That's it.

The Lion Richlands is the big club out on Pine Road in Richlands β€” 60+ years of football heritage, home of the Queensland Lions, with a proper bistro and terrace looking straight over the main pitch. Dining, gaming, the lot. The kind of local that backs the suburbs around it when it matters.

When you're out near Richlands next week, head in for a feed and a look around. When the sky lights up on Saturday night, remember the local club that made it happen.

Fireworks finale, Saturday 13 June, 630pm, best viewed from the Club Oxley bowling green.

60+ handmade wooden games. Four free face painters. Zero screens. One sunset. The kids will not look up once.

Welcome to the Family Fun Precinct for Oxley Community Festival 2026 β€” the corner of the festival where the under-12s lose their minds (in the best possible way) and the parents quietly discover they're competitive at shuffleboard.

Just Wood Fun are bringing their full setup β€” over sixty different wooden games, all handmade from recycled timber, all set up across the green for anyone to walk up and play. Free play, no tokens, no tickets.

Right alongside, four free face painters will be working through the queue all afternoon β€” tigers, butterflies, dinosaurs, PokΓ©mon, and whatever "scary skeleton with a moustache" thing your kid has been obsessed with this week. No charge. No "ticket booth round the corner." Just sit down, pick a design, get painted.

The whole precinct is brought to you by Mind For Me β€” a Brisbane-based community help platform built around exactly the thing this festival is about: neighbours helping neighbours. Need a hand with the school run? Pet sitter while you're away? Someone to check on Mum next door? Mind For Me runs on Care Coins instead of cash β€” you help someone, you earn coins, you spend them when you need help. It's a beautifully simple idea, built locally in Brisbane, and the fact that this whole family precinct exists is because they put their hand up to back it.

Have a wander through their stand on the day, or take a look at https://mindforme.com.

Family Fun Precinct runs all afternoon, from 1pm Saturday 13 June, Club Oxley.

🎟️ WHAT $5,000 OF RAFFLE PRIZES ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE 🎟️

We sat down and did the maths on this year's Oxley Community Festival 2026 raffle. 21 prizes. Over $5,000 in value.. Here's what's waiting for you

πŸ›’ YOU COULD WIN A LITERAL WHEELBARROW (1st Prize, $700) Corinda Hardware donated an actual wheelbarrow, and we filled it with $200 of Woolies goodies, a $150 printing voucher and a $100 dinner out. So you'll be pushing a barrow of groceries through the festival like you've won a supermarket sweep β€” and then you OWN A WHEELBARROW. Forever. The gardening world is your oyster.

πŸ›‹οΈ THE "NEW LOUNGE ROOM" PRIZE (2nd, $600) $500 at Super Amart Oxley. That's a couch. A real, sit-on-it, fall-asleep-during-the-cricket couch. Plus dinner at Tikka junction cafe & restaurant so you don't have to cook on delivery day.

πŸ’ͺ THE "NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION, SORTED" PRIZE (3rd, $550) Six months at I Feel Good 247 Oxley. We did notice, though, that roughly half the prizes also include Studio Pilates Oxley passes AND there are FOUR separate Dominos pizza vouchers floating around the other prizes. So whether you end up fit or fed is entirely down to which ticket gets drawn. The universe will decide.

🍣 THE SUSHI TRILOGY (Prizes 19, 20 & 21 β€” $100 EACH) Not one. Not two. THREE separate $100 Sushi Corinda vouchers. Three lucky people are getting sushi. We don't make the rules, we just hand out the salmon nigiri.

πŸ”§ THE GENUINELY USEFUL "ADULTING" PRIZE Tucked into five different prizes: a Murphy Plumbing and Gas FREE Health Check (worth $99). Not glamorous. But the day your hot water system dies, you'll feel like you won the actual jackpot.

✨ AND THE REST Dance courses at Rio Rhythmics (kids' AND adults' β€” finally learn to do more than the wedding shuffle), a facial at Urban Nails& Beauty, pub vouchers for Oxley Tavern & Corinda Tavern, Brew Moon Coffee & beans, Cool Meat Direct hampers from Priceline, the Oxley News Agent and three local MPs/councillors, a Lions Christmas pudding, and a movie night. Something for literally everyone.

πŸ“Š THE FUN FACT Across the 21 prizes there are TEN lots of Studio Pilates passes. Statistically, the odds are excellent that you're about to get core-strong whether you planned to or not. πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

πŸ“ Drawn at the Oxley Community Festival β€” Saturday 13 June 2026, Club Oxley. Free entry. 🎫 Tickets link in first comment or https://www.rafflelink.com.au/oxleyfestival2026

Every prize was donated by a local business who wanted to back this festival. Buy a ticket, win something brilliant, keep our community day free for everyone. πŸ™Œ

Four blokes, four instruments, and a setlist that puts the tears back into country ballads. 🎻

Meet The Red Hill Boys β€” a group of performers from the Red Hill Folk Club who play songs that are great to sing along to and even better to clap along to badly while no one's watching. Full-bodied singing welcome.

Their repertoire bounces across folk, country, Americana and Celtic β€” traditional songs alongside the more recent stuff β€” and their light-hearted, boisterous approach breathes life into murder ballads, puts steam back into train songs, and freshens up old favourites you didn't realise you'd been missing.

The lineup: Lawrie White (guitar / bodhrΓ‘n / vocals), Ross Roache (banjo / vocals), Brad Jones (guitar / vocals), and Warren Freeman (guitar / mandolin / vocals). Between them they've been kicking around the folk and country scenes for more years than they're prepared to admit β€” and they love nothing more than dragging the great music of our past back into the present.

Catch The Red Hill Boys on the main stage at 3:30pm and 5:30pm on Saturday 13 June, Club Oxley.

Meet The Sublime Ukelectics β€” a community ukulele band who are part of the Brisbane Ukulele Musicians Society and are back at the Oxley Community Festival for another year. Singing along welcome. Dancing along welcome.

The Sublime Ukelectics bring an eclectic mix of music from across the ages and genres β€” which is a fancy way of saying you'll know every second song and have absolutely no warning about what's coming next. They reckon they're very excited to be back this year, and we reckon we're very lucky to have them.

If you fall in love with the sound and want to find your own four-string moment, the Brisbane Ukulele Musicians Society is the wider community they belong to β€” worth a Google.

Catch The Sublime Ukelectics on the main stage at 2:30pm on Saturday 13 June, Club Oxley.

πŸ‘‰ Tag the friend who has bought a ukulele and has definitely-absolutely-promise been "meaning to learn."
