Sit Down, Shutup and Watch Film & New Media Festival (SDSW) is the first learning disability led film festival in the Southern Hemisphere. Held biennially SDSW showcases the filmmaking talents of artists with a learning disability to a local and global audience. The festival aims to raise awareness in the wider community of a growing international trend of learning disability led screen culture, promoting cultural change, inclusion and acceptance of the outstanding creative talents of filmmakers across the globe. SDSW is powered by Tutti Arts.

The Sit Down Shutup And Watch Screen Festival returns to Nuriootpa on 22–24 October 2026. This year marks its 15 years of the festival.

It will be three days of films, creative workshops, new ideas, international artists. There will be plenty happening on and off screen.

Come watch films from Australia and around the world. There will be over 20 short films by learning disabled and neurodivergent filmmakers.

We’re also asking “How do you want to be counted?” through CONSENSUS, a hands-on creative workshop. It will explore identity, belonging and community through art, digital media and animation.

It’s NAIDOC Week and this year marks 50 years of NAIDOC.

NAIDOC Week is a national celebration. For 50 years it has honoured the histories, culture and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It's an opportunity for everyone to learn about the world's oldest continuing cultures.

Tutti artist Jackie Saunders is a contemporary Ngarrindjeri and Wirangu artist living on Kaurna land. Her NAIDOC Week exhibition is on show at The Gallery at St Peters Town Hall until 11 July. Jackie’s works celebrate connection and strength through stories from her family.

This National Reconciliation Week, the Sit Down Shutup and Watch collective acknowledges we create across the unceded lands of First Nations people.

The 2026 theme All In reminds us that reconciliation isn’t passive, it calls on all of us to step up, take action, and share responsibility.

We’re committed to being part of that change, every day.
