Club Announcement: March Club Run to Rydal Cancelled.

Due to a number of circustances out of our control, it has been decided to cancel the March drive to Rydal.

Taken into consideration to making this difficult decision were the factors below.

- The current soaring fuel prices;
- Fuel shortages already showing up in Sydney Metropolitan area, let alone in the country;
- The closure of the Great Western Highway on the Victoria Pass;
- The increased volume of combined traffic in both directions in the seventeen kilometre stretch between the Bell Heavy Vehicle Station and Lithgow;
- The deterioration of the road surface on this stretch of road due to the increased volume and weight of the combined traffic.

So Rydal isn't forgotten, it's just parked for a later date.
