A few leading Overall Contenders were forced to retire from the race, including 72 footer URM Group, WA team Moneypenny, and 3x DH Champion Mistral.
The all-women crew onboard First Light are persevering through the second night despite issues with their reef and seasickness. 2024 Race Winner Celestial V70 continues to dominate the standings as the bulk fleet makes their way towards Green Cape and across the Strait.

The 2025 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race fleet remains locked in a punishing upwind drag south🌊, with the leading maxi yachts stretched across a broad east–west line as crews position for the next tactical phase of the raceπŸ—ΊοΈ.
A total of 15 yachts have now retired from the 628 nautical mile race, with 113 still racing, including 15 of the original double handed crews.
