Thanks everyone coming to our Anzac Day parkrun.
Event 102, saw 28 participants enjoying the cool sunny morning.
It was great to see so many children running beside their parents. It was also great to see so many new faces from our local community, including a visitor from Kilmore.

Thanks to our regular volunteers and new volunteers from our local community.

See you all next week

ANZAC Day has always been a day of deep reflection for me about service, sacrifice, and the mateship that binds us. Having served in East Timor, Iraq, Afghanistan, and across the Middle East, I’ve seen firsthand what that mateship looks like under pressure, and it never leaves you. Transitioning back into everyday community life can be challenging, but that’s where parkrun and Team Veteran has played an important role for me.

This ANZAC Day I’ll be attending a Dawn Service, followed by heading down to Chelsea Bicentennial parkrun in Victoria where I’ll be volunteering by walking the course with my medals. It’s a personal way for me to honour those who served, while still being part of the parkrun community and supporting others on the day.
