Another great morning at Nagambie parkrun! πŸŒžπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

We were delighted to welcome 3 first-timers to our beautiful course and celebrate a special 5️⃣0️⃣ parkrun milestone for Brett from Berwick. Congratulations on reaching this wonderful achievement! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘

We also welcomed visitors from Toolangi, Alexandra and Kilmore, along with some travellers from much further afield. A special mention to our visitors from Main Beach, Queensland, who are in the region attending a wedding at Mitchelton Winery, this weekend, and an international visitor all the way from England! We love seeing people discover and enjoy Nagambie parkrun wherever they're from! πŸŒπŸ’™

As always, it was wonderful to see such a mix of participants enjoying the morning, including families, walkers, runners and plenty of happy dogs. That's what makes parkrun so special: everyone is welcome.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers who make each event possible. In particular, a special shout-out to Julie (Jules) our amazing Nagambie parkrun Event Coordinator, whose dedication, organisation and enthusiasm help make every Saturday morning such a success. Julie, along with our incredible volunteer team, ensures that our parkrun community continues to grow πŸ‘πŸ’š

Whether you're chasing a PB, walking with friends, volunteering, or simply enjoying the fresh air, parkrun really is the best way to start your Saturday and your weekend.

See you all next week! 😊

Great morning run despite the sub zero Arctic conditions. Our lake looked ethereal almost ocean like as Helen remarked. Twenty five intrepid diehards, with many younger folk tackling the icy cold morning. Visitors from as far afield as Adelaide, Torquay, Echuca and the distant Diamond Valley, A very big shout out to all our volunteers many of whom sacrificed valuable minutes deicing their vehicles in order to make it a great morning. Gods were kind to us especially Sue who bought her bed along to stay toastie ha ha, Morning sun arrived to burn off the mist and thaw frostbitten hands. Thank you to everyone .πŸ™
Thanks Ant for the great write up πŸ‘Œ

We were honoured with some wonderful visitors this weekend, including an Octogenarian couple from Studley Park Kew. What an el supremo effort smashed it out at 83 years young. Also visitors from the Mornington Pensisula, one being a marathon superstar who kindly gave us a chop out as tail walker with two doggos of distinction in chariots no less. His running partner returning to Nagambie to honour her fallen mother, killed tragically some 35 years earlier in a motor vehicle accident on the outskirts of Nagambie. One of our youngest stars clocked a sub 23 min run. Other runners joined us from Bendigo, Seymour and Melbourne. Well done team Nagambie!

What a foggy morning to welcome visitors from Korrumburra, Geelong, Puckapunyal,
Seymour, Inverloch, Wondong, Shepparton, Footscray, Manor Lakes and Avenel. Sorry folks you didn’t get to see the lake.

Thanks to the fellow from Puckapunyal who drove a visitor who had travelled from Geelong to Seymour via train to find out Goulburn River Trail parkrun had cancelled in Seymour. The staunch parkrunner then got taxi to Nagambie.😊

Congratulations Sue on your 50th volunteer anniversary. Thank you for volunteering to help out this event πŸ‘πŸ‘

We also had a first parkrun runner from Wondong. Thank you for choosing us to be your first 😊

Our first finisher at 18.11 was amazing

Thank you all volunteers doing a fabulous job

See you all next week

Great to have 31 Parkrun runners and walkers this morning. It was a cool start to the day but not freezing like other mornings this week.πŸ₯Ά Congrats to the first runner over the line with a sub 18 minute run and super effort by our young runners today. 🀩 We welcomed neighbours from Goulburn River Parkrun whose event was cancelled again today due to muddy, wet course because of last week’s flooding. Great to have runners from various parts of Melbourne, thanks for coming. Congrats also the first-timer and the 50th milestone runner. Thanks to everyone who turned out today in mid winter and thanks to our regular volunteers. Hope to see many of you again next week. Photos to come …
