All of Ratz Brix displays are original designs, designed and built by Karryn and Jacqui. Family and friends would walk past her room and double back to see the creations being built. Since then, Karryn had the belief that other people would also enjoy looking at the models. In 2011 Karryn and Jacqui moved from South Australia to Victoria. It wasn't until 2013 that they attended their first exhibit
ion as guest exhibitors. After being accepted into the exhibition, the mad rush of building a “boring old Vegemite jar” was on! Completing it within a few days prior to the event, the Vegemite jar wasn't so boring to build, nor look at either. Being first time exhibitors, it was an experience! It was a 4 day event for exhibitors, with 2 of the days being open to the public for viewing. The open public days were full days of standing and talking to thousands of excited LEGO enthusiasts and answering a LOT of questions. The all-time high at the LEGO exhibition was winning an award for the Vegemite jar, from the only LEGO certified professional in the southern hemisphere, Ryan McNaught. Having now been exposed to the LEGO crazed world and on a high from the first LEGO expo, they then started to display other MOCs (My Own Creations - something that is designed and built without any instructions and not from a pre-packaged box) at other fans of LEGO expos. This led them to where they are now. In December 2014, Karryn decided that it was time to start up a business to display all of the MOCs. With the vigilant help from assistant/partner Jacqui, they have been hard at work building many MOCs, some of which are on this page. Ratz Brix also invite a few guest exhibitors each time to the fans of LEGO expos. The guest exhibitors can be identified by looking at the ‘built by’ information on the stands next to each exhibit. Remember, LEGO can break. None of our exhibits are glued, so please do not touch them when viewing them at an expo. This will allow other people to enjoy them after you have viewed them.
