Celebrating Community & Touch Football

Late last year, we had the privilege of attending the 3 Rivers Festival in Echuca-Moama, hosting an Indigenous Touch Football social tournament.

People came from across the nation from Perth to Cairns, to take part, showing the incredible reach and spirit of the game. The festival is all about community, culture, and connection through sport.

A special shoutout to the 222 Memorial team, featured in this photo, and all participants who made the event so memorable.

3 Rivers Touch Football Champions 2025

Congratulations to the 222 Memorial teams for winning the Men’s & Open Mixed Women/Mens divisions and taking home the inaugural ‘Shaurntae Lyons’ Premiership cup.

The 222 Memorial side is made up of players from Wagga Wagga, Narrandera communities in the Riverina & Shaurntae’s children which makes the win more special. ❤️

Congratulations once again to 222 Memorial.

I also want to send a BIG Shout out & thank you to all the players, team managers, supporters, referees & officials/coordinators (Charles, Grant & Wade), health promotion teams, and sponsors for contributing to the event and making the weekend a huge success for our communities.

We’re looking forward to 2026!!
