I wanted to explain what the plans and intentions are for Mischief Makers and the Eternal Youth parties.
As a DJ, I have always preferred the journey style of set lists and mixing. This is the method of building up the momentum of the party by having DJs play in order of progression. Starting from a slower bpm and then building to a peak, before it starts a downwards descent, in effect creating hills and valleys. This can even be contained within one DJ's set, as they tell a story through music, taking you from one place to another via somewhere whimsical.
Eternal Youth's angle is progression mixing throughout all the sets of the night, creating a continual upward flow of energy. Each edition will cater to a different path from one genre to another, so we can experiment with sounds and chances to mix different genres and crowds at the same time.
For the DJs, All sets will be recorded on the night and Mischief Makers will be starting it's own SoundCloud page to list all the mixes from everyone that plays with us. I'll post details when the first mixes are uploaded.
The plan is the have the Eternal Youth parties once per month, and perhaps start our first outdoor events along the way or at least by next summer.
We are open to DJs and Musicians to reach out to us and ask if they can play. I'll be planning the future event's music themes and draw from the applications or from known quantities that suit those themes.
