First time in a long time competing in my hometown of Werribee thanks to Brainbuster Wrestling Project. Members of my family in the audience. A father and his child came up to me afterwards saying that was their first wrestling event and they loved it (one of the big reasons why we do what we do). And my chance to win a championship in my hometown......
And I failed.
Look, I'm not taking anything away from the man who won the Tournament. Choc Morrus, you're the BWP Heavyweight Champion. Congratulations. You earned it and you deserved it. Epic Encounter was your day. But it's a new year, and I've still got things to do with three more years of my career left. I don't intend to stay in line because of one single misstep. So Morrus, and Matt Graves as well, you're still the Australian National Champion, I have my sights set on the both of you. Watch your backs, because Werribee is my home. And it's time to reclaim my residence as champion, and I aim to do so here at Brainbuster Wrestling Project.
