Catch them live at Marrickville Pause...The Valentitanic Trio ❤

On Valentine’s Day 2023 a monster was birthed from an ancient egg near the Cooks River in Tempe. The Valentitanic Trio argues for the rebellious spirit of jazz. We are not here to play jazz. We are here to play the space, in the space, for the space, with the space. Our own special brand of Hatejazz will bring joy and nightmares to all who behold.

Who are we?

Mike Kennett (Squid, Fabulous Contraption) - guitar

Alia Josephine (Vermillion Trio) - saxophone

Tim Bradley (On The Stoop, every single band ever) - drums

Josh Shipton (TRIANGLE, Blue Eyed Ravens) - bass

If you miss them you’ll need to write yourself a personal apology.

Taking over Gerald Street this May! See Hellebores live and outdoors at Marrickville...Pause🔥
Hellebores are Sydney's finest support band. When you want to get people off the couch and dancing...hear their songs once and that's it ...stuck in ya head for ever. Poppy punk at its finest.

Once upon a time, in the whimsical world where rubber ducks harmonized with xylophones, a band emerged that would redefine the very notion of "playing" music. Behold Toydeath, the extraordinary ensemble that transforms children's toys into a symphony of laughter and sonic delight.

Catch Toydeath playing outdoors at Marrickville Pause on May 5th! See ya on Gerald Street! Toydeath

Noise outdoors at Marrickville....Pause on May 5th. Hear the sounds of Bone Turd- Collaboration project of Aaron Clarke (UN/Turds of Prey) and John Irish (Bones). Bellows and electronics meets synth and strings, creating harsh sonic scapes

Marrickville Pause is run by independent creatives in partnership with Inner West Council. They are presenting the live music activation for marrickville/Midjiburi Ward, as one of five happening across the Inner West in 2023 and 2024. The program supports events developed and delivered by the community that harness the creative power of live music in the Inner West This program model is based on the success of the St. Anmore Music Festival delivered in Stanmore by local community members in 2019 + 2022 with Council support. The St Anmore Music Festival was a result of the vision of Richard Gill a renowned Australian musician, conductor and educator and Stanmore resident who sadly died before this vision of a music festival in Stanmore could be realised. But thanks to the dedication of local Stanmore community members, his dream came to life in 2019. 🎵
And now, Marrickville Pause is following in those footsteps! 🎉 Save the date: Sunday, 5th May, on Gerald St, Marrickville, from 12-5 pm.
