On February 16-18th we made our way up to the Sydney International Equestrian Centre for the Australian Heavy Horse Spectacular, put on by the Shire Horse Breeders Association.

6 years now, we have been supplying garlands for the show, including the overall Supreme Champion Heavy Horse winner (All Breeds).

This year we donated a custom-made garland for the top spot, designed to emphasize the grandeur that this award represents. The garland in question (pictured below), was made up of over 50 flowers in cream white, pink, peach, and red, as well as several individually metallic-dipped flowers to accentuate the metallic ferning adorning the background.

Tying it off was a waterfall of complementary satin ribbons, and for that final WOW, we hand-sewed a Horse Brass to the centre chest-fall.

As with all our garlands, this is a 1-off, however, we can absolutely create something similar for your next Grand Champion order!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, but have some updates from the most recent orders I made.

End of January, i was thrilled to attend the CCHS National Clydesdale and Heavy Horse Festival and watch 4 of my garlands be awarded.

These Prestige Package garlands were ordered as standard, being my Best-Seller, however the society asked to have each individually made with the class they are being used for in mind.

Below are 2 of these beauties being awarded to Aarunga Tiffany - Supreme Clydesdale Exhibit and Grand Champion Heavy Horse Exhibit.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted! And truly it’s been such a shame that due to COVID I’ve not been able to get out more due to show cancellations and low attendance!

However, i was so excited to attend the SHBA Australian Heavy Horse Spectacular (as a competitor) and watch one of my first perpetual garlands be rewarded, 4 years on from its commission, to its original recipient!

This Prestige Package garland has been customised to include additional beading, ribbons and a horse brass to give it that extra wow factor for the ages! And it certainly catches the eye!

What a weekend!

Thank you to Hawkesbury Show Society and a special thank you to Amos Vaughan for the garlands ordered in support of the Shires and Other Heavy Horse ring.

This order was placed not long before the 2020 Hawkesbury Show was cancelled due to COVID, so having the opportunity to finally bring these up and help present them to the worthy competitors was a true pleasure!

As it draws closer to the end of the year, show season would usually be well upon us. With restrictions and border closures, many small businesses, including myself have felt the impact of less patronage and sales.

Today sparks new light on our current situation in Australia, with strategies starting to be implemented to ease restrictions, end border closures, and hopefully return us all to some normality.

When the time arises, we are ready and excited to start making new garlands, for both new and existing customers, for shows in the rest of 2020 and throughout the 2021 Show season.
