In April we asked every coach in the 2026 representative season across NSW how they really feel about coaching today. 126 of you took the time to share, thank you!

The good news?

✅92% of you say the team environment you've built is positive and respectful.
✅90% feel mentally prepared to keep going.
✅88% feel motivated and confident in your role.

The harder news?

Half of you don't yet feel comfortable speaking up when something isn't right.

Only 1 in 2 are confident poor behaviour gets addressed when it's reported.

We hear you.

COUNTRY TAP REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN

| Registrations are now open for the Basketball NSW Talented Athlete Program (TAP) Country Trials.

Open to U13 (born 2014) and U14 (born 2013) athletes, TAP is a junior development program designed for players showing potential to progress in basketball.

To be considered for the TAP Camp, athletes must attend a trial. Players will be coached by experienced coaches, compete against other top athletes, and be introduced to the BLUES values.

Selected athletes will attend a 2.5-day development camp in August, focused on skill development and understanding performance basketball.
