On the last Saturday of summer (Feb 28th) the 150km Feast brings the annual Food & Wine Festival to the lawns of Maydale Reserve with six wineries, a brewery and cocktail van alongside six food trucks and live music. A fantastic day out from 12.30pm til 11pm.

Tickets are cheaper online - $15+ booking fee (link in comments or pop over to their event page) or $20 at the gate.

Let’s Do Lunch 🍽️ and the opening of The Stables at Maydale Reserve.

Presented by the team behind the 150km Feast, you are invited to join in a heartwarming day of connection, conversation, and country hospitality.

Enjoy a delicious three-course meal by local chef Cat Clarke and local food producer, Claire Morgan from Rupanyup Living Produce Co.

Located in The Stables (a new venue) at Maydale Reserve, featured local wines will be from Seppelt Wines, Mount Stapylton Wines & Norton Estate Wines.

Guest artist will be local school student and singer, Zara Nichols.

A local produce food stall will also include Mrs Baker's Still House gin varieties.

Tickets are $75 which include a glass of bubbles on arrival and sales close on Monday October 13th.

At the Maydale Reserve we do more than look after brides and grooms on their special day, we host corporate events and dinners.

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting the Wimmera Agricultural Rural Ambassadar Awards Gala Dinner.

The Cattle Shed was their chosen venue with judging taking place earlier in the day in the boardroom.

In addition to The Cattle Shed, our function venues include Stable One, The Poultry Shed and Maydale Pavilion.

Next Sunday Maydale Reserve transforms into a food & wine festival.

Starting with the 150km Feast Shed Market at 10am (free entry) and then the doors of The Cattle Shed open to the Food Truck & Wine Festival at 12noon til 7pm.

Admission to the festival is $15 at the door or $10 online (see comments for link).

On Friday we had the sweetest wedding amongst the totally unexpected, with with just a few hours notice on Wednesday, Forest Fire Management Victoria moved onto the grounds at Maydale Reserve to set up Basecamp for crews fighting the Victoria Valley and Little Dessert fires.

In extraordinary circumstances the bride and groom remained calm, accepting the situation taking place before their eyes as they set up for their special day.

The groom’s comment was along the lines of “We’re doing a lot better than those fighting the fires, so we have nothing to complain about”.

Smoke and love filled the air! What a memorable day Codi and Jaz 🧡🧡
