: "🇮🇳🪁 Celebrating 80 Years of India’s Independence at the Gold Coast Kite Festival! 🪁🇮🇳 What a fantastic and memorable day at the Broadwater Parklands, celebrating the 80th Anniversary of India’s Independence alongside the vibrant Gold Coast Kite Festival! It was wonderful to see families, friends and community members come together to celebrate India’s rich culture, traditions and heritage, while proudly embracing the spirit of multicultural Australia. 🇮🇳🇦🇺 A heartfelt thank you to all our distinguished dignitaries, government representatives, community leaders, volunteers and, most importantly, the community for making this celebration such a tremendous success. We were honoured to have representation from all three levels of government, including Mayor Tom Tate and Mayoress Ruth Tate, Angie Bell MP, Sam O’Connor MP, Sushil Goel, Rob Molhoek MP, Leon Rebello MP, Cr Brooke Peterson, representatives from the Consulate General of India, Brisbane, and many other community leaders and special guests.
