This week at Barrabool Hills Lavender we’ve been busy digging up little seedling “babies” popping up between the rows 🌿 Some have been potted up, while others were transplanted straight into a new row — we’ll see how they go!
A few farm jobs ticked off too… mulching a lavender row, giving our second raised garden bed a fresh coat of paint (ready for some veges), and adding extra wire mesh to the gates to keep those cheeky rabbits out.
I also made a little bird box at Moriac Women’s Woodworking, and Craig helped secure it into a tree — apparently facing south-east is best, so fingers crossed for some feathered visitors 🐦
We spotted a big possum finishing off the leftover chicken feed… little rascal!
I love collecting antique glass bottles and these I picked up from Barrabool Hills Uniting Church jumble sale (some interesting one's used for ink, medicine and milk) - Perfect to display fresh and dried lavender.
On the sales side, I’ve had a few almond and dried English lavender sales — perfect for a bit of pocket money.
