In Shark Bay at land's end there are endless expanses of seagrass meadows. Unfortunately these life giving meadows are under threat. Marine heat waves have affected vast areas of seagrass.

A dedicated group of people have banded together help save seagrass in the Bay.

LANDS END - Festival of Film screened another 15 short films at RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort on Sunday 24th May.

The conditions were perfect for short films under the stars, following a wonderful Shark Bay sunset.

It was great to have an encore screening of the two local award winning films. 'We Go Exploring' Best Music Video and 'Beneath Steep Point' Best Documentary.

Thanks to everyone who made the inaugural LANDS END - Festival of Film, the success it was. Congratulations to all the Filmmakers who submitted their work and to our tourism supporters Aristocat 2 Cruises (Perfect Nature Cruises) and Shark Bay Coastal Tours.
A big thank you to Perth Film Studios for flying Jessy to the Bay to present the awards to the Best in Festival Filmmakers.

Now the planning starts for the 2027 Season 😃🎬🎥🦈🐬

If you missed out seeing this documentary, 'Beneath Steep Point', and music video, 'We Go Exploring' by local filmmakers, now is your chance.

An encore screening will happen at the Monkey Bar in the RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort this Sunday 24th at 6pm.

Let's support our local filmmakers. There's also another 12 short films that haven't been seen in the Bay before.

The screening will be finished by 7.30pm.
