This international event will provide them with world-class training, competi
tive matches against teams from across the globe, and invaluable cultural exchange experiences. The Casuarina Football Club’s Under-15 boys' and girls' team are a young group of athletes from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds getting ready to embark on a transformative journey. Casuarina Football Club, founded by Timorese refugees, was established in 1977, and is a thriving multicultural club in Darwin. Their U15 mixed team is the first Australian team invited to the IDA Easter Cup Tournament, competing against squads from the UK, USA, South Africa, and Spain. An exciting time for the club and players and a fantastic opportunity to test themselves on an international stage, experience different playing styles, and immerse themselves in football culture. For our squad of incredible young players—many of whom come from communities where opportunities of this scale are very rare—this trip represents more than just football. It is a chance to grow, learn, and develop resilience through high-performance coaching, travel, and team bonding. With your help, we can ensure that no player is left behind due to financial barriers. Held in the Mediterranean city of Valencia, Spain, the event is more than just a tournament—it’s a cultural and personal growth experience for players and families alike. With scouts, professional coaches, and clubs in attendance, the exposure and networking opportunities are invaluable. Last year’s tournament hosted 58 teams from around the globe, with more teams expected for the 2026 event. It is an experience designed to elevate our players both on and off the field by offering:
