Well, it’s been a big 2020 at Pride Events!

While we have certainly felt the effects of an extraordinary year we have never been as prepared for a new season as right now, our staff have been busy getting into event mode and are ready to get your events running in full swing for 2021.

We’ll be closing the office today at 3pm for Christmas break, but will be back on deck on Tuesday 29th December, bright and early at 7am.

During this time we are still taking bookings for NYE and January and will respond to all emails and calls.

In the meantime, we want to wish all our customers, friends and business associates a very safe and happy holiday season and a successful new year!

Today we bid farewell to one of our most hardworking and dedicated team members, German.

Germans problem solving, can-do attitude and amazing people skills will be sorely missed by all of us at Pride Events, we wish you nothing but the best in the future and have no doubt you will have much success at whatever you choose to do in your new city!

Thank you for your patience, following the Chief Health Officer advice on waiting for test results to come in, they have all come back NEGATIVE.
Here’s the changes from Wednesday 28 October:

Cafes, restaurants and pubs will open!
Indoor: up to 20 person limit (1 person per 4 sq. metre rule)
Outdoor: 50 persons (also subject to density)

SOCIAL OVERVIEW 📷
📷 Masks remain compulsory.
📷 The reasons to leave home have been removed. Instead it will be a “stay safe” guiding rule. The 25 km radius remains. (Until 8 November)
📷 Meet up to 10 people outdoors from any number of households.

There have been recent discussions between city councils and government to look at wavering fees for outdoor dining permits, in order for restaurants to begin trading al fresco when restrictions ease. This is great news, as Melburnians really don’t mind eating outside, anyone who has ever sat in a beer garden at the height of winter with a drink and a parma can attest!

We are also impervious to weather changes too, as we have all noticed over the last few weeks, so that’s an even bigger plus!

Pride Events is a local family owned business who have decades of experience in not only temporary structure and furniture hire but also in dealing with local government and council. We have been watching this space with interest, as just like everyone else we are looking forward to being able to visit our favourite restaurants and bars again too!
