PolArt is a celebration of culture kept alive by the hands, hearts and voices of many generations.

Across families and communities, traditions are learned, shared and passed on - from grandparents who first danced on stage, to children now stepping into the spotlight for the very first time. PolArt is where these threads come together, creating a living tradition that continues to move, grow and celebrate through every performance.

Join us in uplifting the families who keep the rhythm alive.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now at www.pol.art

Yesterday, our Wiosna organisers visited our friends in Melbourne to see how they bring their Polish Festival to life at Fed Square. The whole city was buzzing with Polish culture—wonderful to see it celebrated by everyone and supported by both council and government.

We took plenty of notes, saw old friends and met new ones, and invited our Melbourne friends to join us at next year’s Wiosna Festival.
We even extended invitations to some amazing performers—so stay tuned to hear about the exciting new guests coming your way for Wiosna Polish Festival - Brisbane 2026🇵🇱✨

Spotlight on Roots Exhibition Artist - Anna Stanisława

We’ve had a great deal of interest in Anna's work 'Getting Ready', a beautiful piece that has sparked conversation and curiosity throughout the exhibition.

For Anna Stanisława, Getting Ready is both an extension of her Polish roots and an expression of herself as a creative, explored here through dance. Throughout her life she has worked with natural fabric textures, but for the Roots exhibition she turned to the scanner as a medium to continue this exploration. By using long exposure, narrow depth of field, and varying slow poses, she discovered a new language—one that functions not only as an archival process but also as a creative practice.

In compositing the photomontage, Stanisława approached the work as a process of reweaving textures and recreating depth of field. Rather than aiming to perfectly align lines and seams, she embraced a sense of freedom, focusing on selected horizontal, vertical, and perpendicular lines while allowing gaps to remain. These absences, in turn, reveal movement and introduce new depth to the reconstructed woven garments.

Anna is already preparing new artwork for next year’s exhibition at SPK No.8 Qld, where she will present limited edition prints available for sale. Be sure to join us again next year to see what she creates next.
