🧦 SILLY SOCK DAY!

There are some very serious decisions to be made on C2K…

Like which socks to wear. 😂

Heading out of Georgetown, it’s Silly Sock Day — and our riders certainly don’t hold back.

Bright colours, crazy patterns, cartoon characters and some combinations that probably shouldn’t work… but somehow do. 🧦🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

It’s these little traditions that bring so much fun to the C2K journey. Seven days and 780km is a big challenge, so we make sure there are plenty of reasons to laugh along the way.

And when an entire pack stops to compare socks before getting back on the road, you know you’re on C2K. 🧡

So, important question: what would YOUR Silly Sock Day socks look like? 👇

🎉 GEORGETOWN = CALCUTTA NIGHT!

After a big day on the bike, arriving in Georgetown means it’s time to park the bikes, grab a cold drink and settle in for one of our favourite C2K traditions — the Cardzilla Calcutta! 🍻

Held at the Wenaru Hotel, it’s an afternoon of plenty of laughs, friendly rivalry and riders trying to work out exactly who they should be backing. 😂

The Calcutta has become one of those C2K traditions that brings everyone together — riders, volunteers and support crew — and makes the event about so much more than cycling.

Because when you sign up for C2K, you’re not just signing up to ride 780km from Cairns to Karumba.

You’re signing up for seven days of experiences, friendships, community and a whole lot of fun along the way. 🧡

A huge thank you to our naming rights sponsor Cardzilla for getting behind the Calcutta and adding to the fun each year.

🥪 BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE

You’ve climbed Newcastle Range. The hard work is done.

Now it’s time to find a shady spot, unpack lunch and enjoy the view. 🌳🚴‍♀️

There’s something pretty special about sitting at the top of a range, looking out over the landscape and knowing your bike got you there.

C2K has plenty of big moments, but sometimes it’s the quiet ones in between that you remember most.

A good mate. A packed lunch. A bit of shade. And nowhere else you need to be… at least until it’s time to get back on the bike. 😁

This is C2K. 🧡

💪 THAT “I MADE IT!” FEELING

There are climbs on C2K that make you question your life choices… and then there’s the feeling when you reach the top. 🙌🚴

Newcastle Range is one of them.

It’s a challenging climb on the road to Georgetown, but cresting the range under your own steam brings a pretty special sense of achievement.

The raised fist says it all. 👊

C2K isn’t about being the fastest rider on the road. It’s about challenging yourself, supporting your fellow riders and discovering just how much you’re capable of over seven incredible days.

And the best part about a big climb?

There’s usually a downhill on the other side. 😁

🚴 MT SURPRISE → GEORGETOWN

Another day, another stretch of wide-open Far North Queensland road. 🧡

The ride from Mt Surprise to Georgetown is where you really start to feel like you’re heading west — long stretches of road, changing landscapes, big skies and plenty of kilometres shared with your pack.

That’s one of the things we love about C2K. You might register as an individual, but you don’t ride it alone.

Our riders travel in packs based on their comfortable riding speed, supporting each other through the long days, the hills, the headwinds and all those kilometres in between.

And somewhere along the way, a group of people who may barely have known each other in Cairns starts to feel very much like a team.

780km. 7 days. One incredible journey from Cairns to Karumba.

Could you see yourself here in 2027? 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

🦸 SUPERHERO DAY — C2K STYLE! 🦸‍♀️

Because apparently riding 780km across Far North Queensland isn't heroic enough... 😂

Superhero Day is always a bit of fun on C2K, with riders swapping their usual cycling kit for capes, costumes and questionable fashion choices.

And yes — riding a bike dressed as Superman is absolutely as aerodynamic as it looks. 😜

It’s these moments that make C2K about so much more than the kilometres. Seven days on the road, plenty of laughs, new friendships and memories that last long after we roll into Karumba.

Who would YOU dress up as for Superhero Day? 👇

💪 Hard but rewarding!

That pretty much sums up Day 1 of the Cardzilla Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride.

The ride from Cairns to Atherton is no easy introduction to the week. With nearly 1,000 metres of climbing, it's a day that tests your legs, your determination and your mindset.

But ask almost anyone at the finish, and you'll hear the same thing...

"Hard but rewarding."

The climb is worth every pedal stroke. Spectacular scenery, a huge sense of achievement and the knowledge that you've conquered one of the toughest days of the ride make reaching Atherton incredibly satisfying.

Sometimes the hardest days become the ones you remember most. 🧡🚴

How would you describe your Day 1 in just three words? We'd love to hear them in the comments!

🎭💙 The No Talent Quest wouldn't be the same without Power & Data Support Services!

Every great event needs a sponsor who doesn't just put their name on it—they jump in with both feet.

A huge thank you to Power & Data Supply Services for proudly sponsoring the C2K No Talent Quest and helping make one of the funniest nights of the week even more memorable.

From the hilarious judging scorecards and participation T-shirts to the giant winner's badge and custom stubbie coolers, every detail added to the fun and had riders laughing all night long.

But more than that, the PDSS team brought energy and a genuine passion for being part of the C2K family. They embraced the spirit of the event, and the riders absolutely loved it.

Partnerships like this are what make the Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride so special. When our sponsors get involved, they don't just support the event—they become part of the adventure.

Thank you, Power & Data Supply Services, for helping create another unforgettable C2K memory. We can't wait to see what you come up with for our 30th Anniversary Ride in 2027! 🧡🚴

👏 Show the PDSS some love in the comments!

🌧️🚴 Every rider has their own story.

Some riders chase personal bests. Some soak up every kilometre. Others simply enjoy the challenge of the journey.

On a wet day descending the Herberton Range, every rider approached the road a little differently—but they all shared the same goal: ride smart, ride safe and enjoy the adventure.

One of the things that makes the Cardzilla Cairns to Karumba Bike Ride so special is that it isn't a race. It's about challenging yourself, supporting your fellow riders and creating memories that last long after you've crossed the finish line in Karumba.

No matter your pace, every kilometre is an achievement. 🧡

Were you smiling behind the rain droplets... or just looking forward to the next coffee stop? ☕🚴

🎤🎸 Lights... music... absolute mayhem! 🤣

The PDSS No Talent Quest is all about throwing caution to the wind, having a laugh and entertaining your fellow riders.

Did anyone have talent? 🤔

That's debatable...

Did everyone have fun? Absolutely! 🎉

From questionable dance moves and enthusiastic performances to plenty of audience participation, this year's performers gave it everything they had—and that's exactly what the No Talent Quest is all about.

A huge shout-out to everyone who was brave enough to step into the spotlight. It takes a special kind of courage to perform in front of your C2K mates, and you certainly gave us plenty to laugh about!

And of course, a massive thank you to Power & Data Support Services for sponsoring this much-loved event and bringing so much energy, fun and laughter to one of the most entertaining nights of the ride.

The PDSS No Talent Quest has quickly become a C2K favourite... and we can't wait to see what next year's performers have in store! 🧡🚴
