Launched in 2010, the Brisbane French Festival – now called Le Festival – is a not-for-profit association run by a passionate and dedicated team of 25+ volunteers all year round, with an additional 300+ volunteers throughout the event. Le Festival first came to light in 2010 as a way of sharing the Brisbane Francophile community’s passion for France with Australia. Today, the festival has evolved

into the largest French Festival in Australia, offering a unique “rendez-vous” for more than 20,000 registered visitors – from Brisbane and elsewhere – to immerse themselves in a genuine French cultural experience…

Le Festival’s objective is simple. The French community, enriched by Australia’s multiculturalism, seeks to facilitate an interaction between our cultures, to inspire Australians to share in our passion to toast the best of both worlds (Australia and France). The peak French celebration in Queensland and a major event on Australia’s cultural calendar, Le Festival illuminates Brisbane with French culture, providing an authentic immersion experience to celebrate the passion, warmth, and spirit that is France. We’re excited to announce that expressions of interest are now open for the Le Festival 2026 Content Creators Crew 📸✨

We’re looking for passionate photographers, videographers, reel‑makers and social media storytellers who would love to capture the atmosphere, the French vibes, and the joy of our three‑day celebration.

Selected creators will receive a free 3‑day pass, giving full access to the Festival to create content from inside the experience. Your work may also be featured on our official channels, with credit.

If you’d like to be part of the team behind the magic, connect with our marketing crew, and help us share the spirit of Le Festival, we’d love to hear from you.

Get ready for a truly magnifique Saturday night at Le Festival.
On 25 July, our headliner MZAZA takes the stage with a spellbinding blend of contemporary folk and world music that feels both poetic and powerful.

Led by French‑Australian singer Pauline Maudy Music, celebrated as Australian Folk Artist of the Year, MZAZA brings a sound inspired by France, Spain and the Balkans, rich harmonies, accordion, violin, shah kaman, percussion… a musical journey that feels like wandering through a late‑night marché in Marseille or a bohemian bar in Paris.

Their performances across Australia and Europe have captivated audiences, and this year, they’re bringing that same joie de vivre to Brisbane for one unforgettable soirée.

Welcome to Le French Market…
Where every step feels like wandering through a little corner of France 🇫🇷

Imagine this: the crackle of a fresh baguette, saucissons hanging like in a village market, the perfume of melted raclette drifting through the air, and that unmistakable aroma of slow‑cooked French classics warming the whole space.

Add the sweetness of canelés with their caramelised shell, glossy lemon tarts, crêpes sizzling on the pan, waffles dusted with sugar, and ice cream that tastes like summer in Provence…

And of course, the cheese. The glorious, gooey, melty, irresistible cheese.

This year, our exhibitors are bringing the full French feast to Brisbane, from artisanal producers to iconic favourites you wait all year to taste.
A huge merci to each of them for filling Le Festival with so many flavours, smells and memories.
