We were really hoping to be able to bring good news as we moved into 2021, but unfortunately BMYC is still not going to be operating for a while longer. As soon as we have some positive information on singing in 2021, we'll let people know.

We regret to announce the cancellation of our planned Harmony Day Concert, scheduled for this Saturday 21st March.

This has become necessary due to the Coronavirus crisis. We wish all our patrons and regular audience members well in these current circumstances.


All tickets already purchased will be refunded.

Want to participate in a short project with Blue Mountains Youth Choir? Two workshops will be held for boys and girls (9 - 16years), on Sundays March 1 and 8 from 2 - 4.30 pm at the Mid Mountains Community Centre, Lawson followed by a free concert at St. Hilda's Anglican Church Katoomba on Saturday March 21. The tutors for this event are local professional musicians Catriona McKay and Gwen Blackwell.

Want to sing? Here's a great way to start the year with our special concert to celebrate Harmony Week.

The concert will be co-hosted by Blue Mountains Youth Choir and St Hilda's Anglican Church, and is sponsored by Katoomba & Upper Blue Mountains Community Bank Branch Bendigo Bank. There will be performances by BMYC and other children's groups, including the FABULOUS local Counterpoint Orchestra.

MORE INFO ABOUT THE SONG COMPANY OPPORTUNITY!

Our 2020 program kicks off on Saturday 15 February with a special offer for young singers up to the age of eighteen years, from The Song Company, one of Australia's leading vocal groups.

Their Blackheath concert on Saturday 15 March is part of their 2020 Tour. We are invited to attend their sound check prior to the concert, meet the group and spend a little time with their Musical Director, before attending the concert. This special offer is exclusive to Blue Mountains Youth Choir.

Children will be supervised prior to the concert by volunteers from Academy Singers.

Date: Saturday 15 March 2020
Venue: Blackheath Uniting Church, 43 Govett's Leap Rd.
Time: 1.30pm
Cost: $15

Please Note: Adults wishing to attend the concert with their children will need to purchase a separate ticket.

The fabulous Song Company is performing
CRIES OF JUSTICE at
Blackheath Uniting Church
on 15 Feb 2020 at 3pm

Normal cost is $27, but BMYC members are able to attend for $15. Included in this offer is the opportunity to go along to the sound check, doing a bit of singing with their Artistic Director and then staying for the concert.

Academy Singers are presenting Gamelan - with the Sydney Gamelan Orchestra Langen S**a with a program that includes music from Indonesia, the home of gamelan, and other Asia-inspired music. This concert will be a rare opportunity to hear a genuine gamelan ensemble in the Blue Mountains.

Coming soon!! Our Young Singers Program 🎤😊

A special opportunity for students aged 14 to 18 years who are serious about music and singing. Work with highly accliamed conductor and composer Dr. Paul Terracini, receiving expert tuition in ensemble singing, rehearsing with chamber choir Academy Singers and perform with them in concert with the Sydney Gamelan Orchestra 'Langen S**a'.

The project consists of six weeks group tuition (no individual lessons), a dress rehearsal and concert performance. Each student will be mentored by a member of Academy Singers in their own voice part, music and learning aids will be provided.
