There’s more to fishing than just throwing in a line; knowing the rules is just as important!

This keen fisher was getting stuck into the updated Queensland Fishing Regulations book, proudly supplied by Charlie Ladd from FFSAQ – Freshwater Fishing and Stocking Association of Queensland Inc.

A great way to learn more about our local waterways, fishing regulations and how we can all help look after our fish for future generations. 🎣🐟

🎣😁 ANOTHER HAPPY FACE AFTER CATCHING A FISH! 🐟

There were plenty of smiles around the water on Family Fun Fishing Day and for good reason!

🎣 46 fish were caught throughout the day, with the majority being safely released back into the water!

And boy, were the fish biting! 🐟

It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the fishing, getting amongst the action and making memories with family and friends.

Nothing beats the feeling of catching a fish! 🎣

Bec travelled all the way from Tambo to join us at our Family Fun Fishing Day and it looks like she may have had a pretty successful day!

We love seeing people from our neighbouring communities come along, get amongst the fun and enjoy a day by the water.

Janelle took a break from writing out MultiDraw tickets to present one of our Lucky Gate winners with $100 cash!

🎣 YOU MIGHT KNOW THESE TWO… BUT DID YOU KNOW THIS? 😂

You may know these two legends as Rosco the Painter (Ross) and Foot the Baker… (Janelle) but there’s more to them than meets the eye!

Rosco swapped his paintbrush for the measuring table and was one of our awesome fish measuring volunteers on the day. We couldn’t have kept things running smoothly without our volunteers!

And who knew the Baker could actually catch a fish?! 😂🎣

Foot is usually found behind the BBQ, but this year he handed the tongs over to his trusty volunteers and decided it was his turn to throw in a line!

We love seeing our volunteers get amongst the action too!
