We’re excited to welcome visitors and locals across the shire for a fantastic weekend of community events, including Harness Racing in Birchip and the Mali Heart Street Art Festival.

It’s a great time to explore our towns, support local events and enjoy everything the Buloke community has to offer.

⚠️ Travel reminder:
Heavy rain earlier this month in the north of the Shire, has left some roads closed and areas very muddy.
To help keep everyone safe and avoid getting bogged:
🚗 Please stick to sealed roads where possible
🚗 Beware of soft shoulders on roads
🚧 Obey road closure signs
🚧 Never drive through flood water
🌧️ Take extra care when travelling on rural roads

For the most up to date information on road closures and traffic conditions, please continue to check the VicTraffic map: https://traffic.transport.vic.gov.au/

We hope you enjoy your time in Buloke and have a wonderful weekend at our local events. Travel safe and have fun!

The true definition of Big Art, Big Heart.

Coinciding with the Mali Heart Festival, the Birchip Silo Art Project is coming to life, celebrating the legendary story of Rimfire and jockey Ray Neville.

These powerful images honour one of Birchip’s proudest sporting moments and bring new life to our iconic silos.

Although still not finished (the larger silos will commence next week), make sure you take a moment to stop by and see it for yourself.

Make sure you catch local musician Bambi busking out the front of the hall and bringing the vibe.

Raw vocals. Acoustic energy. Street-side magic.

This is what Mali Heart is all about!

Live music, local talent and a town that shows up.
Don’t miss her.
