Yarrabilba parkrun

Yarrabilba parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 7am at Darlington Parklands. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Yarrabilba parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7am at the Yarrabilba Estate, approx 48km south west of Brisbane's CBD. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

Event #606 got to see one brand new parkrunner, one parkrunner finishing their alphabet challenge and 13 PB’s. Congrats to all.

It was cloudy, cool and the perfect morning for our 82 finishers. Thank you to everyone who came along.

Next Saturday Viv is completing her 600th event. The theme is ‘Spring Season’ so come along dressed in your brightest flowers!

Can you believe that our very own Viv is celebrating 600 days of running parkrun?!

Well she is!

On Saturday 19th September Viv will be completing her 600th run at Yarrabilba and has asked anyone who would like to celebrate with her to dress up in the theme of "Spring Season". This of course can be interpretated in any way you choose- wear floral, come dressed as a bee or butterfly, or for those of you with a weird sense of humour, come as a slinky......

Anyway, she would love to have many people there to help her celebrate and get her 600th T-shirt (because YES the milestone T shirt range has now expanded, more on that to come).
Hope to see many of our locals and regulars there to cheer Viv over the line for an epic milestone!
