Every week in November we will be sharing the Experiences of the Marathon Men attending the F2F. This week we have Richard Anderson, a gentleman of the sport who is still competing in Queensland. Richard not only has competed in international events but found himself on many podiums around Australia including 3 consecutive podiums in the original Classic Adelaide and 2011 Rally Australia, Classics. Richard will be attending the F2F in an immaculate Alfa with the exceptional Navigator, Martin Darch.

After months of challenges and determination, we're thrilled to confirm that the Operation Flinders to Fleurieu Rally is back on track for June 2027!

Six unforgettable days of gravel rallying, from the spectacular Flinders Ranges through the Clare Valley and Barossa to the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula.

With the Silverfern Rally Fast approaching, we have 3 competitors who have already competed in the Bega rally who are looking at expanding their points at the NZ Silver Fern Rally.

This is fabulous news for the region.

Remember all the rain earlier this year? 🌧

It was a welcome sight in the Flinders Ranges, bringing greenery back to the hills and water back to the creeks. 🍃

The Flinders Ranges Council estimated the damage to the road network at $16 million, following a comprehensive assessment. 🚧

Earlier this week, the Council received confirmation that it will receive an indicative 98 per cent funding assistance from the State Government to support recovery efforts.

Mayor Ken Anderson said the assistance was very much welcome for both locals and tourists to the region alike.

“This has been one of the best pieces of news we’ve had for a very long time,” Mayor Anderson told ABC North & West's Tom Mann on Monday.

One highly respected gentleman of the sport. A competitor, event organiser, service crew and car builder. He's been there and done that, and knows what it takes to contemplate a marathon event like the F2F. The team are trying g to secure a date and hope to have one announced soon.

Graeme Wise has been around motorsport for most of his life, which gives him a slightly different perspective on what it takes to make an event like the Flinders to Fleurieu Rally happen.

When the F2F organising team made the difficult decision to postpone the 2026 Operation Flinders to Fleurieu Rally, we genuinely appreciated the support and understanding we received from competitors, officials and our many supporters.

We know you have been waiting patiently to find out when we are finally going to get this event underway.

We have been working hard behind the scenes to secure the best possible place for the Operation Flinders to Fleurieu Rally in the 2027 calendar. We believe that process is now close to being finalised, and we expect to be in a position to announce the confirmed 2027 dates very soon.

Rather than simply recreating the event we had planned for 2026, we are taking the opportunity to look again at the route and see where we can make it even better, more challenging and more memorable.

The vision hasn't changed: six days of serious rallying through some extraordinary parts of South Australia, from the Flinders Ranges all the way to the finish in Victor Harbor.

We can't wait to get Operation Flinders to Fleurieu, “Take Two”, underway.

The Road Crew have wrapped up their trip very successfully after creating some fabulous new stages on some of the bigger stations near Quorn and Hawker. This has improved our day 3 and 4 schedule a lot. See some of our fave photos from the last few days.
