🚗💨 A true rally legend is heading to South Australia!
We’re incredibly fortunate to welcome Stig Blomqvist to Australia for the Flinders to Fleurieu Rally – a name that sits among the absolute greats of world rallying.
Blomqvist is a World Rally Champion (1984), winning the title with Audi during the iconic Group B era – one of the most competitive and dangerous periods in motorsport history.
Across a career spanning more than three decades, he claimed 11 WRC victories, stood on the podium 33 times, and became renowned for his smooth, precise driving style.
A dominant force in Europe, Stig also won the British Rally Championship (1983) and multiple Swedish titles, along with an incredible seven victories at Rally Sweden.
And his achievements don’t stop there, in 2000, he conquered one of the toughest endurance events ever staged, winning the legendary London to Sydney Marathon, a 16,000km journey across continents.
Now, decades on, he’s still competing and inspiring and we get to see him right here on our roads.
What an honour for Australian rallying, and especially for our local community, to host a driver of this calibre.
