We told you our was multitalented… and the eminent judge of the prestigious Photography Award agreed, giving Cai’s incredible photograph - entitled “BOY/KIND” - First Prize!

Cai says this image is part of his “ongoing study into un/comfort, emotion through motion, and mental health… I wanted to visually depict that feeling of pressure, from society, social media, your family, or a partner and how that sometimes can feel engulfing or suffocating”.

The Award was judged by the exceptional who is Senior Photo Editor at ! Dilys said: “I chose this image because I can't stop questioning what I'm looking at. From the almost eye contact to the gel-like water splash to its peculiar melting quality. The overall uneasiness of the picture is what's most intriguing, and feels like a constant waver between fiction and reality."

MissusM invites you on “A Taste Adventure With Melissa Leong”!

We’re very excited that today’s the day this brand new children’s book by hits the shelves.

MissusM, Mel and present young readers with a delicious adventure, exploring the six tastes found in a range of popular and unique dishes that we celebrate as staples in multicultural Australian cuisine.

As Mel says in the book: “There's sweet, salty, bitter and umami. Doesn't that last one sound a bit funny? Sour and spicy are just as neat! Together, these six tastes are in the foods we eat.”

It’s a Wonderful Wednesday here at MissusM as we welcome the tremendous & multi-talented Cai Fox Leplaw to our family!

After graduating from London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins College, has continued to build his career as a multi-media, multi-faceted artist, both in front of the camera of and behind the lens.

Cai seamlessly and seductively blends all of his passions - photography, music, video production, acting and modelling (and continual thirst for further knowledge about them) - which is reflected in almost everything he does.

Cai’s unmistakable look, bohemian energy and wide circle of friends in and around his hometown of Mullumbimby, NSW made him a walk-up start to join the cast the series BYRON BAES, which premiered last year. Cai proved to be the show’s favoured and most likeable character.

Having signed an ongoing contract with Netflix, Cai now hopes to share much more of his personality and his passions with the world… and we can’t wait to help shape and share Cai’s journey with you all!

Cai has worked as an actor and model for the likes of , , & …. and his art - featured on his Instagram page - and is regularly exhibited in galleries across Australia.

MissusM knows Cai to be a person of incredible heart and tenacity. Cai seeks to be a role model for his generation and those that follow as he lives out his goal of being a positive change-maker on the screen and within the fashion, arts and creative industries.

You’ve heard of “Singing in the Rain”… but, on Saturday it was a case of SAMPLING in the rain as our joined a host of other brilliant chefs and cooks - and foodie fans alike - at the 10th Annual Festival at Bangalow Showground.

Despite the weather, this community rocks!!!

We were so pleased to see such a huge crowd come along in their gumboots and wet weather gear to learn some top-notch tips from Australia’s undisputed ‘Queen of Vegan Cooking’ (and she’s got the Chefs Hat to prove it!) and enjoy sampling the region’s incredible produce.

On the day, Shannon also joined the fabulous and multitalented to judge the winners of some incredible selections of taste plates. Sending our huge congratulations to for taking out the best savoury taste plate for their No Lamb Gyros and who won best sweet taste plate for their Wattle Seed, Roasted Macadamia Banana Icecream with Banana Miso Butterscotch. The judges also gave an honourable mention to who wowed them with both savoury and sweet taste plates!

What a Day! Thanks so much to all involved… we’ll see you next year, Bangalow!

MissusM is beaming with pride that our has been announced as a Rainbow Champion ahead of the very first Festival!

Earlier this week, Keiynan joined some of his other fabulous fellow Rainbow Champions at in Sydney to help shine a spotlight on Australia’s vibrant LGBTQIA+ community.

So many awesome Champions, including the wonderful and to name just two. A total of 45 incredible ambassadors will be named over the coming months, representing the 45 years since the first Sydney Gay and Le***an Mardi Gras which took place on 24 June 1978.

Get ready, … because WorldPride will be a party like no other when it kicks off on 17 February next year.

Over 17 days, the Harbour City will host more than 300 LGBTQIA+ events and we can’t wait for Keiynan and the other Rainbow Champions to tell us much more about exciting festival in the months to come!

As if we needed any further proof that MissusM’s is a superstar… she’s also just been awarded the Trailblazer Award at this year’s Festival Awards!

The Trailblazer Award was founded in 2012 to recognise the contribution of hospitality professionals who are leading the way in their chosen field earlier in their careers, celebrating those doing things differently and pursuing innovation that will benefit our industry in years to come. We couldn’t think of anyone that fits the bill better than Shannon… and, it would seem, neither could the judges!

Reflecting on receiving the award, Shannon says: “it’s been a long hard road to get vegan dining the respect it deserves in Australia, but I think we’ve finally done it!”. Hear! Hear!

The MissusM gang was out in full force for opening night of at at the Joan Sutherland Theatre on Saturday night.

A huge congratulations to all the wonderful cast, crew and creatives involved in this spectacular new production of ’s iconic musical. And, please give a big standing ovation to MissusM’s formidably talented family member who is simply superb as Raoul!
