The 2025 Tatts Finke Desert Race is scheduled from Friday, June 6 to Monday, June 9, 2025, in Australia's Northern Territory, spanning from Alice Springs to the remote community of Aputula (Finke).

Wednesday, June 4
Finke Mixers – 5:00 PM
Venue: The Juicy Rump, Lasseters
Kick off the Finke calendar with dinner, live music, and meet the Finke Ambassadors ahead of the action-packed weekend.
Thursday, June 5
Finke Street Party & Night Markets – 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Venue: Todd Mall and Council Lawns
A free, family-friendly community event featuring market stalls, food and drink vendors, kids activities, meet and greet opportunities with competitors, and merchandise for sale
Friday, June 6
Scrutineering – 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Venue: Start/Finish Line Complex, South Stuart Highway
Get up close to over 500 race vehicles, meet competitors, and enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment.
Saturday, June 7
Prologue
Cars: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Bikes: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Venue: Start/Finish Line Complex, South Stuart Highway
Competitors race against the clock to determine their starting positions for Race Day 1.
Sunday, June 8 – Race Day 1
Cars Depart: 7:30 AM
The first twenty vehicles start one at a time at one-minute intervals.
Bikes Depart: 12:00 PM
The fastest 20 bikes start in rows of two at one-minute intervals.
Finish Line Gate Hours: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Monday, June 9 – Race Day 2
Cars Depart (Finke to Alice Springs): 7:15 AM
Bikes Depart: 12:00 PM
Finish Line Gate Hours: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Presentation Night: 8:00 PM
Venue: Alice Springs Convention Centre
