That’s $10,000, $5,000 AND $2,500 all taken out within December!

Round 2 of the Let's Go Fishing- SA's Ultimate Fishing Competition wraps up with 3rd prize taken out by a mega golden perch caught on a giant bunch of angry tiger worms by angler Michael from Coonalpyn- all the way in the SE. Plenty of winners are coming from this side of the state!

These tags are showing some great species migration data. This Golden Perch travelled from Murray Bridge (where it was tagged by RecFish SA board member Lucas Weaver) and travelled all the way to Wellington where it was caught by this lucky angler.

This fish is special, because it was actually one of TWO comp tagged fish caught the same day. But remember, this is a race! And michael was the first to have his catch verified.

What a race! There’s been huge competition for the last tag of round 2 this week!

Wrapping up we’ve had large amounts of salmon from kangaroo island and Goolwa, reservoirs pumping with cod and yellowbelly- and a fair amount of Murray river fish turning up!

You need to be registered BEFORE fishing to compete against other anglers- and you’ll need to have your tag submitted BEFORE anyone else.

There are still lake Bonney instant win tags, worth $100 each!

$5k WINNER!!! December is the magic month! Don’t risk not being Registered!

Second prize has been taken out, by legend G. Rogers in Kangaroo Island, coming across a school of salmon while chasing whiting in Kingscote Bay- and up came the winning tag! What a result for this regional fishing Mecca!

Geoff was registered early in December, and board member and local Gavin Matthews has verified the catch. The tagged fish was in the water for 9 days!

That’s an easy $5,000 for the Let's Go Fishing- SA's Ultimate Fishing Competition.

Well deserved, and well played with SA’s biggest race to catch these fish across metro and regional areas.
