Our Foundational Ambassador Dr. Jane Goodall left us with a momentous responsibility that she mirrored, engaged in and reflected her entire life right until the very last day on this .

Jane’s work is done, but ours has begun. We are asking you to take a moment and reflect on your true nature and your soul’s purpose in this life for we have a limited number of days to do good on this planet.

Wildlife, like children, depend on us. Before the industrial revolution we were hunters and gatherers; we belonged in communities together. That custodianship and that guardianship to leave this world in a better place than what we found it is Jane’s legacy and continues in every animal, tree, and our responsibility to protect the planet.

What can you do to help today? Will you join us as a custodian and protector of this planet? We rely on donations and partnerships in order to deliver our work.

Wild Earth Oceana recover species from threatened extinction through the power of Film to create the wildlife outcomes, support the grassroots organisations, and to inspire and educate millions of people around the world to create the collective change we need for a sustainable future.

Your backyard is 100% a survival site for Wildlife over the next week. Please read below and put shallow bowls of water out at the base of trees and replace water regularly. This is the difference between life and death for Wildlife in Australia this week. ♥️ 🐨 🦘 🦜 🦎 🙏

This coming week will be the hardest yet for our precious wildlife 🦔, and for many animals, it may be a fight for survival.

As the heat intensifies 🥵, koalas and other native wildlife have nowhere to escape. The trees 🌳 that should protect them offer little relief, the ground burns beneath them 🔥, and every degree hotter pushes their bodies closer to collapse 🌡. Heat stress doesn’t always look dramatic at first — a koala sitting low in a tree, resting on the ground, or drinking continuously 💦 can already be in serious trouble.

This is the moment where you matter.

Looking up into the trees, checking your yard, and placing a shallow water dish out could be the lifeline an animal desperately needs. These small acts of kindness can mean the difference between life 💕 and loss death ⚰️.

Please don’t second-guess yourself. If your heart 💜 tells you something isn’t right, trust it. We would always rather answer a call early 🤳 than arrive too late, when there are no options left.

📞 If you are worried about a heat-stressed koala, call SKER’s 24/7 hotline: ☎️ 0435 056 252
Our dedicated wildlife team and experienced vets 🩺 are standing by day and night, ready to help. This week will be brutal — but together, with compassion, awareness and quick action, we can give our wildlife a fighting chance 💪.

Please share. Speak up 🗣 . Look out 👀.
Their lives depend on it

BEYOND THE BLUE LINE 🌊 🌊 🌊

Today, the ocean changes.
Not in the way storms announce themselves,
but in the quiet way history sometimes turns.

For a long time, the High Seas were a blank frame.
Beyond borders.
Beyond responsibility.
A place we took from, but never truly held.

In Australia, we grow up knowing the edge of things.
A continent wrapped in water.
We learn early that the sea is not scenery —
it is story, ancestor, warning.

Out there — past the horizon —
the ocean has been lawless not because it was wild,
but because we failed to imagine care at that scale.

The High Seas Treaty comes into force today.
A sentence written not in ink,
but in restraint.
In listening.
In choosing protection over permission.

This is not the end of extraction.
It is the beginning of accountability.
A promise that the places we cannot see
are still worthy of guardianship.

Film teaches us this —
that what we frame, we care for.
What we leave out, disappears.

Today, the frame widens.
From our shores
to the deep, shared blue.
Not owned.
Not conquered.
But held — together.

The Historic High Seas Treaty.
In force today 💪 🌍 🙏

The application, cooperation and coordination together with enforcement of the Treaty will be imperative for the sustenance of humanity.

Together we must unite 🩵 🌍
