Formed in 2022 by guitarists Ahmed Fatani and Suyash Bhagat, Dubai-based extreme metal band Prosecuted have released their debut single, "Skinwalker," offering the first taste of their upcoming album Emancipation Through Violence, due out on 21 August. Influenced by 80s thrash metal, modern death metal and progressive music, Prosecuted lean into high-speed riffs, technical musicianship and aggressive vocals, staying true to the raw energy that has become a hallmark of their live performances .

Alongside their new release, Prosecuted continue to build their reputation on the UAE metal circuit, recently headlining MetalMania by Luna Events Mgt. and maintaining a strong presence on the local live scene.

Lebanese metal drummer Bachir Ramadan has released his debut memoir, 'Obsidian Tempo', a deeply personal account that traces his journey through music, creativity, survival, and self-discovery. Published by Dar Saer Al Mashrek, the book follows Ramadan's life as he balances the demands of a corporate career with his passion for drumming, while exploring the challenges, sacrifices, and quiet victories that come with pursuing an artistic path in Lebanon.

Along the way, he reflects on love, loss, burnout, and the search for belonging, offering an honest look at the realities many musicians face. A defining chapter centres on his experience surviving the Beirut port explosion on August 4, 2020, and the lasting physical and emotional impact it had on his life. More than a memoir, 'Obsidian Tempo' is a story of resilience, identity, and the enduring power of music, and is now available in major bookstores across Lebanon.
